AccessLedger Documentation
AccessLedger is a lightweight web app for managing a credential inventory and tracking emergency (break-glass) access requests end to end.
The goal is to make emergency access auditable and repeatable without requiring a heavyweight PAM platform or replacing the vault and storage process you already use.
What you can do here
- Track credentials: owner, storage location, risk level, rotation schedule, notes.
- Request emergency access and record approvals, expirations, and post-use notes.
- Monitor rotation status (overdue, due soon, on schedule, no schedule).
- Review an audit log of key events and export it to CSV (admin/auditor).
- Configure email reminder cadence for expiring access (admin).
- Create a new organization with self-serve signup and reset passwords as needed.
- Verify email for notification delivery.
Launch posture
AccessLedger is currently positioned as a founder-led pilot for teams that want a focused break-glass workflow and audit-evidence layer. The product is intentionally narrower than a full privileged access management platform: it helps document and control emergency access around existing secret storage rather than acting as the secret vault itself.
